Located in Avondale, in the heart of beautiful Wicklow our treetop walk is expected to attract over 250,000 visitors per year and will continue to be one of the top tourist attractions in Ireland. We aim to provide customers with an amazing outdoor adventure and therefore want to develop a team of people who share our energy and enthusiasm for delivering superb experiences and want to grow alongside us.
Who Are We Looking For
The ideal candidate will be able to balance maintenance requirements and guiding customers along the walkway experience.
Be a part of recruiting and training the maintenance team. Supervise daily operations of maintenance functions.
Support our operations management team in the daily operation of site, including opening/closing and leading the team.
Prepare and monitor maintenance and service plans including necessary safety checks and legal controls, fire safety, accident, and evacuation procedures.
Manage all necessary installation, repair and upkeep operations required. This includes Treetop Walkway and Tower, the slide, shop, sanitary block and storage facilities.
Planning and managing cleaning aspects of high football areas.
Implementing necessary work processes in outdoor areas, such as weather-related work, control corridors, sanitary facilities etc.
Along with operations manager, resource planning and safeguarding operational purchases and other relevant maintenance spend.
Monitoring the overall facility function, as well as ensuring the safety of all systems and processes.
Play a part in our Sustainability Program ensuring we continue to set a leading example in Ireland and our commitment to sustainability.
What You Need:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance related role, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership capacity.
- Relevant qualifications or training.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to follow through staff rotas, delegate tasks, work processes, facility systems, maintenance resources etc.
- Good technical knowledge in terms of carpentry, electrical work and/or plumbing. Some expertise in these trades, especially carpentry would be an advantage.
- Willingness to get involved in maintenance tasks as and when required.
- Ability to manage all cost controls.
- Experience of events and dealing with special customer types.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills, with the ability to lead by example.
